Pre-Paris CrossFit Workout of the Day for Thursday

Photo of Eiffel Tower in Paris, FranceWell, this morning was my last CrossFit workout before heading off to Paris. I have two challenges while traveling this time:

  1. Keeping up with CrossFit Travel WODs
  2. Avoiding the temptation of French food to maintain the Paleo Challenge

That’s right. I have to somehow avoid the great bread, cheeses, pastries, and chocolate and only eat duck, beef, and foie gras. Wish me luck!

Warmup:

  • Stretches
  • Push-ups
  • Jump squats
  • Sit-ups
  • A few pull-ups

Conditioning:

In 15 minutes, complete as many rounds as possible (AMRAP) of:

  • 10 Good Mornings with plates on the barbell (see video below)
  • 10 Split Jumps (see videos here)
  • 10 Knees-to-Elbows (see video here)
  • Repeat

Strength:

5.3.1 Front Squat today was week 4 of the cycle, so it was deload for me.

Cool Down & Recovery

  • Practiced more chin-ups
  • Some GHD sit-ups
  • Some more Knees-to-Elbows (gotta work those abs for the Challenge!)
  • Light stretching
  • Finished up with a protein drink
