Pre-Paris CrossFit Workout of the Day for Thursday
Well, this morning was my last CrossFit workout before heading off to Paris. I have two challenges while traveling this time:
- Keeping up with CrossFit Travel WODs
- Avoiding the temptation of French food to maintain the Paleo Challenge
That’s right. I have to somehow avoid the great bread, cheeses, pastries, and chocolate and only eat duck, beef, and foie gras. Wish me luck!
Warmup:
- Stretches
- Push-ups
- Jump squats
- Sit-ups
- A few pull-ups
Conditioning:
In 15 minutes, complete as many rounds as possible (AMRAP) of:
- 10 Good Mornings with plates on the barbell (see video below)
- 10 Split Jumps (see videos here)
- 10 Knees-to-Elbows (see video here)
- Repeat
Strength:
5.3.1 Front Squat today was week 4 of the cycle, so it was deload for me.
Cool Down & Recovery
- Practiced more chin-ups
- Some GHD sit-ups
- Some more Knees-to-Elbows (gotta work those abs for the Challenge!)
- Light stretching
- Finished up with a protein drink
