Is there anything better than fresh, high-quality meat simply grilled? I’m so glad that the weather has finally turned nice enough that I can grill more often. I usually add an oven-roasted veggie to the mix too.
As a kid, I didn’t like very many vegetables beyond the usual suspects (corn, potatoes, etc.). But, now I know that it was really more about how the vegetables were prepared. I still wouldn’t enjoy boiled, mushy vegetables. Yuck!
My favorite way to prepare veggies lately is to toss them in a little bit of olive oil and add a bit of freshly ground sea salt and cracked black pepper. I put them in the oven at 450F for about 20 mins. It seems like everything tastes great that way! Broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, kale, chard, etc. Delicious!
